Oregon Desert Trail

Oregon Desert Trail

I started working as the Oregon Desert Trail Coordinator for ONDA (Oregon Natural Desert Association) in December, 2015.

I’ll be using my 14 years of experience as a long distance backpacker to help this new route get established. (DREAM JOB!)

In 2016 I’ll section hiked the 750 miles including a packraft alternate through the Owyhee Canyonlands area. Stay tuned for trail updates, blogs and more, or head on over to the Oregon Desert Trail webpage or Facebook page to find out more.

Jump to blog entries from first section hike: Anderson Crossing to Plush.

Or the section hike/packraft in from Anderson Crossing to Lake Owyhee. Trip prep blog here, and recap post here.

Or the 275 miles from Plush to Bend I completed in September.

Or the final 66 miles from Frenchglen to Fields I completed in November.

Or how it feels to be finished!
